Rocklin Housing Report for March 2019
If you feel like Rocklin real estate is all over the place lately, you’re not alone!
Spring is here and we are heading into what is typically the busiest (and most expensive) season to buy a new home. But 2019 is proving to be anything but typical. While we are in a pretty healthy market with less than 2 months of inventory and an increase in the amount of homes sold, we are NOT seeing the typical seasonal increase in sales price that we usually see in the spring months.
Home prices are down in March 2019 to an average price of $495,000.
That’s 6% lower than February. This is great for home buyers who usually find themselves in bidding wars and multiple offer situations this time of year. Instead my buyers are able to tour a nice selection of homes in Rocklin and choose the best one for them, without feeling like they are getting squeezed out of the market. A new home is a huge decision, one that can’t be rushed or forced, and it’s nice to be in the market that allows for a more thoughtful purchase.
It’s not all bad new for Rocklin sellers.
The amount of homes that sold in March were actually up more than 16% from last month. That means that more homes are selling. They might not be selling in one weekend but they are selling, and people are moving to the beautiful city of Rocklin!
When you want to sell your Rocklin home in a market like the one we are seeing today, there are several things you can do to make sure yours sells for the most money possible in the quickest amount of time.
